Saving The Whole Family-Disaster Preparedness

Disaster Preparedness

Natural disasters can be common in California. In our area the most common are wildfires, mudslides, earthquakes, and flooding. Despite our inability to control these events, we can plan and prepare for them to minimize damage when they do happen. We recommend having a plan for your pets safety in case of an evacuation or emergency at home. With the help of the American Veterinary Medical Association we have a list of steps to take to build your own disaster plan. The best thing you can do for your pet is have updated identification for them. An up to date collar and tag and also a microchip. Microchipping is helpful when collars or tags become lost or are unable to be read.
